INDIAN OAK TREESThe Aldama Kumiai rancho is located in what appears to be a very old Kumeyaay Native American Indian site. Pictured here are tall oak trees next to the main house. The California Indians, the Kumeyaay aboriginal food source was based on acorns. The Kumeyaay rarely cut their oak trees because acorns were their staple food source for thousands of years in Southern California and northern Mexico. The remote Aldama ranch has many large oak trees like these photographed.
