SAN ANTONIO NECUA KUMEYAAY INDIAN COMMUNITY 2005Para Español Traduzca esta página inglesa al español This documentary includes a FREE KUMEYAAY FIESTA PARTY MOVIE ONLINE. Webmaster Forward: Most of the local Kumeyaay Indian homes in San Antonio Necua appear to have been wired with electricity for some time but a trip to the restroom still means finding an outhouse, or looking for a bush. The drive from the main highway into San Antonio Necua is for the most part well kept and on well marked dirt roads, but the road eventually crosses over a rocky unpredictable riverbed that tends to washout and close the road during heavy rains. As a road trip, San Antonio Necua is located along clearly marked "Ruta Del Vino" that include vineyards and wineries that offer tours and wine tasting across the Mexico border. The Kumiai here appear to earn their living by farming the local vineyards and working in the wineries, including, gathering firewood, and raising livestock and crops on their land. Some of the Kumeyaay here also handcraft traditional Kumeyaay juncus and willow baskets, necklaces and clay pottery. The Kumeyaay here also harvest and bundle wild sage for Native American ceremonies that are sold across the U.S.-Mexico border in San Diego County Indian stores and souvenir gift shops.
