Young Native American girl, California Indian basket maker, Bernice Montes, poses for a tribal documentary photograph displaying her first large coiled rattlesnake juncus basket in her indigenous tribal village ejido of San Jose de la Zorra in northern Baja California, Mexico, 2005 and below in 2006.

The young Indian girl descends from a generational line of famous Indian weavers and is following in her Kumeyaay family basket weaving tradition.
