DIGGING WELL WATER

The Kumeyaay Indians in the San Jose de la Zorra valley draw their water from wells.

Pictured here, Gabriel Diaz uses a pick axe to enlarge one of the community wells. Gabriel began the work by pumping out the water so he could work on the walls and depth.
