SANTA CATARINA Gets Electricity 2006!

Mexican government installs concrete electrical poles in rural Santa Catarina Indian tribal village, Baja California, Mexico (in progress, wires not installed yet).

Tribal ejido landscape outhouse donket cinder-block houses dirt roads

Photo documents Santa Catarina was in fact wired in for electricity in April of 2026 -- see the top of the hill in this Indigenous ejido landscape.

I am not sure what the name of this dirt road is pictured, but the plywood outhouse, donkey, cinderblock houses tell the story of how the PaiPai Indios were living at the turn of the 21st century.

I am sure this lifestyle will soon be forgotten as the area is developed in the future to contemporary standards....
