KUMEYAAY DANCERSGloria Castañeda, Kumeyaay (2nd from left), of San Jose de la Zorra, represented her Kumiai band and danced traditional dances with her family and friends at the event. Gloria Castañeda is the daughter of Kumeyaay elder Celia Silva, and both Native American women are famous Indian basket weavers in Southern California, are both are fluent in their Kumeyaay language and active in their tribal community on both sides of the US-Mexico border.
